Annual Giving Digital Marketing Specialist
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Contract Duration: 7+ Month Contract
Pay: $28.83/hr, W-2
Work Arrangement: Hybrid: 2 days onsite and 3 days remote, with the possibility of additional onsite work for evening and weekend university events as required.
Duration of Assignment: Until 6/30/2025, possibly extended.
Work Hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (37.5 weekly hours)
Dress Code: Business Casual
Parking: Not covered by department. Parking available for purchase at employee's expense; street parking available.
Proficiency Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google G Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Drive, etc.), HTML, CSS, basic image manipulation, and graphic design experience with Adobe Photoshop/Creative Suite required.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Digital Annual Giving Programs, the Annual Giving Digital Marketing Specialist will collaborate with partners within the University Advancement department, strategizing on web and digital content and target audiences. The Specialist will manage the creation and execution of digital fundraising projects for various schools and programs, and facilitate the digital skills development of other digital marketers across the university through training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
The University Advancement Annual Giving team aims to implement a unified strategy to increase alumni engagement, philanthropy, and donor retention.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with strategy and implementation, project management, and platform operational support to increase audience engagement and conversion effectiveness.
- Manage video filming projects, including coordination, editing, and production quality.
- Write and edit compelling copy tailored for fundraising and alumni solicitations.
- Collaborate with teams to promote digital marketing plans, especially for university giving days.
- Develop and implement digital strategies utilizing analytics to optimize performance metrics.
- Lead marketing training sessions and develop support materials for onboarding.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for multiple business use cases.
- Prepare reports for marketing campaign debriefings.
- Edit assets to ensure adherence to internal style guides.
- Assist in creating and maintaining responsive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Conduct testing and debugging for website functionality.
- Implement on-page SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings.
- Perform additional digital duties and special projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent required, with a minimum of 2 years of related experience in digital marketing or videography.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education or complex organizations, facility with online tools, and a willingness to explore new platforms.
