Position overview:
Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Performs engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
• Learn manufacturing processes from three Kankakee site perspectives (Fractionation, Bulk Purification, and Fill/Finish) as applicable
• Support Deviations/Batch release from PE perspective
• Use worst-case data, downscale reports, etc. to draft Technical Assessments to justify batch release
• Provide Peer Reviews for PE Tech Assessments
• Normalization calculations from characterization testing results
• Support on-going taskforces for Right First Time
• May require lab or shop floor work/studies
• Sample logistics (for Tech Assessments)
• Require sending samples to KAN, BRN, and MBR R&D/QC
• Support, as needed, with Process/Equipment Improvements via GCC
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
• Familiarity with engineering design and evaluation processes
• Basic understanding of technical product development and analysis
• Knowledge of commonly-used engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
• Basic knowledge of process engineering (PE) and quality control (QC) procedures.
• Familiarity with sending samples to different R&D/QC departments.
