Datacenter Technician
Onsite in Memphis, TN
32-Day Contract
**Must be willing to work 10-12 hrs. per day 6 days on and 1 day off**
Looking for people to Clean, Inspect, Patch and Certify Fiber Optic Cabling for a large Datacenter project.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1 year of experience working with Fiber Optic cabling and testing
- Basic knowledge of fiber optic cable types and connector types
- Core Skills: Proper installation and handling of fiber optic cabling
- Connecting pre terminated fiber optic cabling to patch panels and High Performance Compute (HPC) systems
- Testing fiber optic cabling with Certification Tier I Loss test equipment
- Using fiber optic scopes to inspect connector end faces
- Understanding of Data Center cabling standards and best practices
- Able to lift at least +50 lbs. such as ladders, cabling and other equipment:
- Able to climb and work on up to a 10 ft. ladder for extended durations
- Able to sit, stand, bend, kneel and/or walk for long periods of time
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and overtime when required
- Able to travel as needed to Memphis TN, tentative start date October 28, 2024
