Job Requirements / Description

The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for leading the preparation of and reviewing a variety of complex financial data and assists in maintaining and updating company financial models and forecasts.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Participate as a thought leader of the FP&A team, influencing decision making, identifying finance priorities, managing directly and indirectly - finance staff in our Corporate Office
  • Provide strategic business partner support to many levels of the organization, prioritizing efforts to influence performance.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly profit and loss statements, profitability reports and other pertinent data/information. Provide detailed analysis of results vs. plan and prior year performance, and lead discussions on opportunities to close operating profit gaps. Assist Senior Management with special projects ranging from, but not limited to, "what if" strategic analysis, business forecasting, new customer / product / branch P&L projections, etc.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for Direct Store Delivery business units. Drive business partners to meet expected company targets and investment returns. Partner with department heads to develop annual operating budgets and periodic expense projections, and capital projects.



Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Account or Finance required
  • Minimum five years progressive experience in the finance function required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and associated Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience within the CPG or multi-unit experience highly preferred
  • Experience with BI platforms, such as Power BI or Tableau, preferred
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and present financial and non-financial data in meaningful management reports, including recommendations.
  • Able to work effectively with cross-functional business teams composed of people with diverse backgrounds, some of whom are non-technical.
  • Ability to simplify complex ideas and communicates them concisely to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability and passion to train and develop financial analysts, both direct reports and broader finance team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
