The department of Health Behavior and Society is seeking a Research Data Analyst at 25-50% effort to support a new, 4-year project. This work, funded via the National Institutes of Health Tobacco Regulatory Science Program, an interagency partnership between FDA and NIH to foster tobacco regulatory research, seeks to understand the impact of messaging about the tobacco product continuum of harm.

The Research Data Analyst will work with Dr. Meghan Moran and a team at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and the University of Pennsylvania to develop and implement the administrative and research activities for this project. We are a supportive team who are excited to welcome a new highly organized and detail-oriented Research Data Analyst!

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Data organization.
  • Data cleaning and management.
  • Facilitation of data sharing.
  • Data analysis including descriptive and multivariable analyses.
  • Translation of results to visual formats.

  • Excellent record-keeping (i.e., to facilitate replicability).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline. Related Master's preferred.
  • Five years related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Proficiency with Stata.
  • Experience conducting longitudinal analysis.
  • Familiarity with discrete choice experiments.
  • Familiarity with neuroimaging and eye-tracking data.

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Johns Hopkins University’s salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, education/training and other qualifications. Education and Experience Equivalency
Please refer to the job description above to see which forms of equivalency are permitted for this position. If permitted, equivalencies will follow these guidelines: JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis.
