Responsible for supporting the hotel in achieving the hotel’s top-line budget and market share goals.

Job Description

Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include:

Critical Analysis of Strategies, Room Statistics & Demand:

  • Compile all analytics to support DORM
  • Ensure all daily revenue management tasks are executed in entirety
  • Load and manage all offers, rates and components of all systems
  • Be the conduit to all OTA and Wholesalers to manage relationships and maximize effectiveness
  • Ensure rate parity
  • Manage master documents of all offers in all channels and ensure no cannibalization
  • Review, analyze, and communicate day-to-day changes, available inventory, and transient pace using various systems, including IdeaS, SynXis and Hotel IQ, Demand 360, Agency 360 and any other systems that the company chooses to use in the future
  • Review all competitive shops daily/weekly and identify selling strategies and market trends.
  • Complete weekly booking pace reports and analysis on pace, recommending strategy changes when needed.
  • Create analytical ad hoc reports as directed by the Director of Revenue(s), providing in-depth, targeted information.
  • Complete projects in conjunction with hotels and regional needs as assigned by Area Director(s) or Regional Director of Revenue.
  • Identify and communicate demand periods (high and low) for which a strategic plan is needed;
  • Accurately generate Revenue Management reports for all related meetings.
  • Generate, review, and distribute IDEAS 18-day forecast to the operations team for scheduling
  • Generate and distribute a daily pick-up report for the upcoming three months as requested by the regional team, verify and communicate any large variances daily via e-mail
  • Participate in weekly revenue management pricing and strategy meetings.
  • Assist with the implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze past and present trends and make recommendations for future strategies.
  • Assist DORM with reviewing end-of-month room statistics reports from the hotel’s PMS and RMS systems and provide critical analysis on performance vs. forecasts and the results of implemented strategies.
  • Maintain historical data on events and performance on any promotions.
  • Review all reports for 100% accuracy prior to general release.
  • Lead your hotel revenue team and daily revenue process in the absence of the Director of Revenue Management.

Management & Maintenance of Group & Transient Inventory Controls:

  • Monitor and manage inventory via multiple distribution channels including, but not limited to, GDS, CRS and Web.
  • Daily review and implementation of transient rate strategy and maintain accurate demand information in the RMS and CRS systems.
  • Maximize the potential and ensure proactive and accurate maintenance and management of all systems: IdeaS, Opera, SynXis, and Hotel IQ.
  • Must maintain technical expertise on all relative components of IdeaS, SynXis, Opera, Excel, Passkey and other tools.
  • Assist with ensuring all rates are loaded and inventory maintenance is correct.
  • Assist in managing room authorizations, rates, and restrictions.
  • Ensure pricing is consistent in all distribution channels (CRS, GDS, OTA)
  • Authorize updates of selling restrictions in other distribution channels daily, ensuring rate integrity.
  • Support DORM in reviewing all tentative and definite group bookings, to ensure that they support implemented strategies.
  • Conduct displacement analysis of group business, as needed, to determine potential business impact on RevPAR.
  • Attend weekly group pickup meetings, group turnover meetings, and DBR
  • Fill in as backup for Group Coordinator when needed.

Competitive & Demand Analysis:

  • Review all competitive shops consistently and assist DORM in identifying selling strategies and market trends.
  • Maintain historical data on events and performance on any promotions during demand-generating events.

Technical Skill Requirements:

  • Excellent working knowledge of all reservations systems.
  • Able to create, implement and analyze manual and automated reports.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of technical and managerial applications of Outlook, Opera Cloud PMS, SynXis, Microsoft Office, and other appropriate PC applications.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge must be advanced in Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
  • Operational knowledge of national sales process, Delphi, GDS, and third-party internet distribution.
  • Must have the ability to create revenue reports to be used as tools in enhancing growth.

Other Skill Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills as well as an enthusiastic team spirit.

  • Incisive analytical skills, as well as problem recognition and resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to compute and comprehend basic revenue statistics RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy, LOS, etc.
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze a STR report, Demand360 report, Pickup Report, etc.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years experience as a Revenue Manager or Senior Revenue Analyst in a comparable hotel.

Expected Hours of Work:

  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
  • Must be flexible to work various days and various shifts of the week to include weekends, holidays, days, nights and overnight.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards which have been established by the hotel from time to time is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Ten to twelve hour shifts sometimes required.

Additional Job Information/Anticipated

Pay Range:

Remote work preferred in the West Regional areas.

$88,000 - $152,500K Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills, and job specific/overall experience.
