Apply today to become part of our exceptional team and enjoy a robust Total Rewards package!Responsibilities:Check schedules and organize patient flow to ensure timely and efficient care.Accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms, assisting with walking, transfers, dressing, specimen collection, and exam preparation.Collect patient information/history, take vitals, and perform screenings following provider guidelines. Relay instructions to patients and families.Send/receive patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations. Verify insurance coverage and patient demographics.Prepare patient rooms, set up instruments and equipment per department protocol. Clean exam/procedure rooms and equipment between visits to maintain infection control.Manage inventory of supplies, restocking exam/procedure rooms as needed. Follow scheduled maintenance programs and keep accurate records.Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and level one labs. Assist physicians with procedures and document patient information in medical records.Answer calls, provide pertinent information, and assist with patient education. Complete forms, requisitions, and other front office responsibilities as required.Required:High school diploma or equivalentMust have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilitiesPreferred:Phlebotomy experienceLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances:CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hireCPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
