EDUCATION
Ability to read and write and implement own work schedule. Basic knowledge of the principles of food preparation and garnish as well as the ability to use certain kitchen equipment. Must be mentally alert and possess accuracy in measuring food ingredients and portions. Must be able to prepare foods of high quality in specified quantities.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Some basic knowledge of food is required. Training will consist of one (1) week of on-the-job training.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by any employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. May be exposed to communicable diseases.
The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds.
Must be able to push a minimum of 200 pounds and be able to push such weight a minimum distance of 200 feet.
May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during an emergency.
The work area may be subject to noise, distractions, and interruptions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares all food items required on the next-day menu. Properly stores all prepared food in walk-in, wrap, label, and date.
- Prepares food items as required by following the production sheets including special diets for the Pavilion.
- Washes all large equipment used in preparation using proper sanitizer.
- Keeps work area clean, and sanitizes bucket in use at all times.
- Serves meal room meals daily and dinner line.
- Performs all duties as assigned.
