Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney with 3 to 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical malpractice litigation, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for advocating for clients' rights. Experience in dental malpractice is a bonus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of medical malpractice cases from inception through resolution.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and settlement negotiations.
- Collaborate with medical experts and other professionals to build compelling cases.
- Maintain client relationships through regular communication and updates.
- Stay current with developments in medical malpractice law and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- 3 to 8 years of experience in medical malpractice litigation.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices.
- Proven track record of successful case outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Active membership in the NY state bar.
- Experience in dental malpractice is a bonus but not necessary.
