Job Title: Wood Assembly Lead

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Floor Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our assembly team in our wood fixture manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient production processes, maintain high-quality standards, and foster a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership : Lead and manage a team of production workers, ensuring adherence to schedules and productivity targets.

Quality Control: Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.

Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, coordinating with the procurement team as needed.

Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Reporting: Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports on production metrics, quality issues, and safety incidents.

Hard Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • At least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role

  • Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools

  • Solid understanding of production processes and quality control

  • At least 3 years of experience with assembly, hand tools, and quality control of a finished product

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Benicia, California.

Work Environment

Production manufacturing facility. Open to the elements, very dusty, fast-paced.
