Description:

Inman Solar is seeking a motivated individual for the position of Electrical Construction Coordinator. Working as an integral part of a knowledgeable and experienced team, the candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing important electrical aspects of utility scale solar construction. The candidate will be responsible for managing electrical material procurement, coordinating with on-site teams, and ensuring that all electrical installations meet design specifications and industry standards. The role will require a strong understanding of the electrical considerations of PV systems. The candidate’s expertise will contribute to the seamless execution of projects and the achievement of Inman’s goals.


Qualifications:

·        Industry experience in electrical engineering / construction

·        Educational background in engineering preferred 

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

·        Ability to read and understand complex engineering plans

·        High level of attention to detail, time management, and organization

·        Good communication skills

·        Experience with material takeoffs and procurement

 

Responsibilities:

·        Conduct detailed material takeoffs based on engineering plans.

·        Oversee the procurement process for electrical material and equipment using a network of vendors and distributors to find the most cost-effective solution.

·        Track orders through delivery, ensuring delivery dates are met.

·        Coordinate with and advise to on-site installers to ensure material is installed to the design specifications and best practices are followed.

·        Conduct on-site evaluations of electrical work to assess progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.

·        Review third-party electrical documentation for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

·        Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and construction personnel, to ensure seamless project execution.

·        Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and advancements in electrical construction technology.

·        Create and improve optimization tools to assist in electrical design.
