Job Requirements / Description

Establish continuous improvement goals and executes action plans
Utilize proven lean manufacturing abilities to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increased quality, work flow improvements, estimating, project analysis, technology development and core manufacturing skill set.
May provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers, technicians and support staff
Support DOE, 8D, FMEA, 6 Sigma and DFP analysis and implementation of Kaizen activities
Work with Design Engineers to revise, and sustain HVAC product, tooling and machine designs utilizing knowledge of mechanical engineering principles; provide manufacturing technical resource to Design Project teams
Develop and manage project schedules related to existing product launches or design modifications
Document product designs by preparing bills of materials, cost analyses, drawings, and engineering change requests
Assist in redesigning internal components to improve overall long term system quality, improve efficiency and reduce cost
Develop engineering solutions to product related issues through problem solving and root cause analysis techniques
Participate on cross functional teams to launch product modifications, resolve issues, and support product improvements
Coordinate project work internally with the department and externally with other departments to ensure on-time completion of projects within budget
Develop suppliers for manufacturing equipment, develop key suppliers, create an environment of continuous improvement in equipment UPTIME, EFFICIENCY & QUALITY
Create preventive maintenance that effectively maintains the equipment in optimal form without the need for short cutting the quality or machine capability
Participate in additional projects to support ongoing business needs.
