**Job Description:**
- Participate as an essential member of the surgical team.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies.
- Ensure all surgical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in handling and caring for surgical instruments.
- Organize and prepare operating rooms for expected procedures.
- Follow hospital policies and procedures in relation to surgical services.
- Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments with the circulating nurse.
- Perform duties as rotating call technician, ensuring availability for emergency cases.
- Support a busy academic level 1 trauma center environment.
