JOB REQUIREMENTS: Purpose: The Accounting Clerk performs various cash collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations and financial activities through multiple financial systems as directed by the Accounting Manager or other members of the Finance Team as necessary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Open mail, scan and deposit checks, and process credit card payments. Post daily deposits to client invoices in billing systems. Reconcile daily receipts. Correspond with clients to investigate accounts receivable discrepancies to properly record deposits in billing systems. Correspond with clients on past due receivables and collections and provide current status report of client accounts. Assist with monthly billing process. Add new clients and update existing client profiles in QuickBooks. Enter accounts payable invoices and code to general ledger accounts and job cost. Correspond with vendors to investigate accounts payable discrepancies or vendor inquiries to resolve issues. Assist other team members with ad hoc tasks or data entry projects as assigned. Required to attend mandatory meetings and trainings, work scheduled overtime with minimal notice, and perform other duties as assigned per business needs. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Able to read, write and speak English. Successfully pass and maintain acceptable background checks and security clearances. Associates degree in accounting preferred. 3-5 years\' relevant experience working in accounting or bookkeeping. Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable. Strong organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
