Job Summary:  

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to join our dynamic team and oversee the daily operations of our production facility. Additionally, this role will have a critical responsibility for planning and establishing a new production line for our upcoming product, ensuring its successful integration into our existing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in composites manufacturing, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. 


Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and implement production plans and schedules, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are allocated effectively. 
  • Develop and manage production budgets, identify cost-savings, and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or safety. 
  • Monitor and analyze production performance and optimize processes to increase productivity and reduce waste. 
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to streamline production processes, and drive innovation to keep the company at the forefront of industry advancements. 
  • Prepare reports on production activities, performance metrics, and KPIs for senior management. 
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes, ensuring products meet company quality standards. 
  • Enforce company policy and safety standards, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. 
  • Manage and develop production teams, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and support to achieve production goals. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and facilitate training and development opportunities for production staff. 
  • Manage supply chain and supplier relationships, oversee procurement of materials, and maintain inventory levels. 
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, engineering, and sales to ensure equipment is maintained, production goals are aligned, and customer needs are met. 

 

Skills and Qualifications:  

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, techniques, and lean manufacturing principles. 
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and data analysis skills. 
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing production teams. 
  • Proven experience in optimizing production processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. 
  • Extensive knowledge of quality standards and health & safety regulations. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs within the production department. 
  • Extensive knowledge of composite materials, processes, and technologies preferred. 


Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. 
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies. 
  • 7+ years of experience in a production management role, preferably within the composites manufacturing industry.
