Job Summary
This Financial Analyst role will be responsible for financial support and analysis for assigned work group. This position is crucial for managing financial data analysis, month end close, project planning, reporting, and forecasting, which supports informed decision-making and strategic planning across the organization. The role involves close collaboration with finance managers and team members to prepare financial reports, budget plans, and performance analyses. It requires utilizing SAP and other relational databases to analyze, obtain, prepare, compile, and present information. This role communicates with various levels within the organization, including senior managers, directors, and vice presidents. While there are no direct reports, the role may involve training others.
Work Location: This position requires working on-site 3+ days per week in Lake Zurich, IL. This position is not eligible for current or future visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned duties in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations.
- Analyze financial data and create financial models to support decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis by comparing actual results to forecasts and budgets.
- Perform assigned month-end close and year-end close processes.
- Support and take an active role in R&D/GAM projects analysis and map actuals and maintain forecast into FIPS.
- Participate and take an active role in the development of improvements in existing reports, processes & analysis.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather data and ensure financial accuracy.
- Responsible for loading and maintaining portions of P92, TM1, BCS, FIPS and FKGAN for actual results, as well as quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed.
- May train others on financial procedures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 2+ years of accounting and financial analysis experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of ERP systems; SAP & TM1 Cognos preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
