OBJECTIVE: As a Data Analyst at Stars, this staff member plays a pivotal role in supporting our mission of serving low-income communities through mental health initiatives. The position oversees data related to the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR), Inventory of Factors Assessing Successful Implementation of Sustainment (IFASIS), Sustainment Measure System Scale (SMSS), and Self-Modification for Assessment of Anti-Racism Tool (SMART) for our mental health grant program. Additionally, responsibilities include managing all organizational data and maintaining dashboards.

TITLE: Data Analyst

SCOPE: This position is located within the Engagement Department

CLASSIFICATION: This position is classified as hourly

HOURS & COMPENSATION:

WORK LOCATION: Hybrid work remotely or in the Stars Wellness Center

RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to: Engagement Manager
  • Works with: Director of Wellness, entire Stars team
  • Member of: Stars staff

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Grant Program Oversight: Manage and analyze data related to the CFIR, IFASIS, SMSS, and SMART tools to assess the successful implementation and sustainability of mental health initiatives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize program effectiveness and impact.
  • Organizational Data Management: Oversee all data within the organization and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators, program outcomes, and grant requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness across all platforms and systems.
  • Digital Engagement Analysis: Monitor and analyze data from the organization’s website and social media channels to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to increase engagement with our target audience.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement data-driven strategies for enhancing online presence and community outreach.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Implement PDSAs (Plan, Do, Study, Act) methodology to drive continuous improvement initiatives across programs and processes.
  • Utilize data insights to guide decision-making and adapt strategies to meet evolving community needs and organizational goals.
  • Assisting in the development of program policies and procedures to ensure agency compliance with funding sources. Interface with schools and other community liaisons.
  • Ensuring that all paperwork is complete and paperwork deadlines are met.
  • Ensuring documentation requirements are met for supervisees in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborating and coordinating with other community professionals, servicing agencies, clients, and families.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must wholeheartedly agree with Stars’ mission, values, and service covenant.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a nonprofit or public health setting.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as R, Python, or SPSS.
  • Experience with CRM platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate findings effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with an understanding of anti-racism principles.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the office and on occasion to multiple job sites throughout the day.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work at a desk in an office or home-office setting; sit at an office desk for extended periods of time.
  • Work for extended periods of time at a computer, requiring the ability to send and receive information with necessary optical, auditory, and manual dexterity.
  • Use a keyboard and mouse to enter, retrieve or transfer words or data information and/or move from screen to screen on the computer to view information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; comprehend and speak English.
  • Display the reading skills necessary to proofread written material.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations.
