POSITION SUMMARY:

The Ops Supervisor ES – Marine is responsible for the supervision, management, and oversight of all aspects of the Marine group for an assigned Business Unit. Ensures projects, initiatives, and processes conform to established policies, objectives, and initiatives, and are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Manages resources to accomplish identified priorities and work.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop in-house marine response resources including the training, design, and deployment of new resources.
  • Provide on and off-site supervision and management of all aspects of Marine Emergency Response and other related projects.
  • Development of new client relationships, and expansion of existing ones.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and oversight of marine personnel.
  • Provide operation and administrative management of the State covered vessel plan as well as the transportation related operations and response plans.
  • Draft marine related work plans as well as related health and safety plans.
  • Participate in local and statewide marine response community.
  • Manage all potential risks and liabilities of project through complete understanding of the contract documents.
  • Maintain accurate records for all jobs and events to receive timely payment of revenue from clients.
  • Provide oversight of all phases of project related hazardous waste disposal, including hazard categorization, manifesting, disposal, and reporting.
  • Participate in “on call” rotation for the project manager roster.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in a management capacity supervising direct reports.
  • Possession of current OSHA, DOT, and EPA training certificates.
  • Ability to communicate strongly with all levels of management and subordinates to effectively accomplish the goals of the marine operations program.
  • Intimate knowledge of NRCES, USCG, WA ECY unannounced drill program.
  • Experience in USCG, US Navy, or NOAA is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel and work on location for extended periods of time to meet client operational needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Marine industry.
  • Knowledge of PRC and Marine OSRO Regulations and Ratings, ICD, Federal (Coast Guard and EPA) and State Agency requirements.
  • Experience managing and developing professional proposals for marine services projects.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Pay Range: $80,010.00 - $125,730.00

Bonus Plan Details (if applicable): Bonus - Management Incentive Plan Target, 10% Annual
