About The Opportunity

Flight Centre Travel Group Americas is a dynamic, highly profitable division within the group with significant sales growth year over year. We are seeking an Accountant Level 2 for our Groups Finance Team.

The role is responsible for the day-to-day financial support of the USA groups booking platform (Softrip); including but not limited to trail balance review and management, monitoring, and reconciliation, 1099 reporting, review of AP aging, reporting and analytics, daily account reconciliations, liaise with external software providers, train finance team and operational team members.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Control and Reporting:

  1. Proven ability to uphold a culture of strong financial compliance & control
  2. Strong understanding of debit and credit level transactions and how to make corrections where needed
  3. Maintain reporting deadlines across all businesses.
  4. Perform daily, weekly, monthly reconciliation
  5. Perform month end checks and reviews of EOM posting
  6. Strong attention to detail
  7. Proven ability to identify a problem and implement a solution

Business Acumen:

  1. Working closely with the global accounting teams and supporting the Controller
  2. Strong customer focus, a high level of commercial acumen and professionalism
  3. Ability to train another team member on a process

Experience & Qualifications

  1. 5 years’ + General Accounting Experience
  2. Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent required.
  3. Experience working in a multinational company desirable
  4. Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $65,000. Base salary is dependent on relevant factors, including experience, geographic location, and job requirements.
