Job Overview: A prominent law firm is in search of an experienced attorney to join its Real Estate Group, specializing in commercial leasing. The ideal candidate will possess at least 8 years of expertise in drafting and negotiating various lease agreements, contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Duties:

  1. Serve as the lead attorney in drafting and negotiating commercial leases and associated agreements, including term sheets, letters of intent, work letters, and SNDAs.
  2. Supervise and mentor junior leasing attorneys.
  3. Engage directly with clients, opposing counsel, brokers, and other stakeholders.
  4. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
  5. Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables.
  6. Maintain compliance with firm policies and practices.
  7. Participate in both physical and sedentary activities, including prolonged computer use and virtual meetings.
  8. Fulfill additional duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial leasing and related agreements.
  2. Proven track record of representing landlords across multiple property types (office, retail, industrial, life sciences).

Education:

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications:

  1. Admission to practice in Florida.

  1. Comprehensive understanding of the commercial leasing market and current best practices.
  2. Strong negotiating and analytical skills.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  4. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
