As an Internal Communications Specialist at Western States Lodging and Management, your day starts with reviewing the latest updates and announcements for the company. You begin crafting a message highlighting upcoming wellness initiatives and associated benefits, ensuring the tone reflects the company's mission and values. Analyzing the results of an associate survey, you identify key areas for improvement in engagement and well-being. Afterward, you collaborate with the HR team to refine a communication strategy, ensuring all associates are informed about new compensation policies. Throughout the day, you oversee the intranet, keeping the flow of information fresh and accessible, making sure everyone feels connected and informed.
- 5+ years of experience in internal communications or corporate communications
- Strong communication, collaboration, and ability to achieve goals and objectives
- Experience with systems used to communicate with associates who do not work on computers or have easy access to them in the workplace
- Strong project management skills demonstrating the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with graphic design, video production and editing, and other content creation tools
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field or experience (preferred)
