Position: Finance/HR Manager

Status: Full time, exempt

Reports to: Pastor

St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Gladstone, Missouri has an immediate opening for a Finance/HR Manager. This is a leadership position, responsible for the efficient and effective administration of the financial condition, physical plant and human resources of the parish, serving as the primary on-site decision maker with matters of significance. This position reports to the Pastor.

Essential Duties

  1. Manage and direct all accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activity, and financial reporting.
  2. Prepare, administer and review budget process in collaboration with the Pastor and Finance Council.
  3. Collaborate with the maintenance supervisor to ensure buildings, grounds, and mechanical systems are properly maintained.
  4. Direct the office administrative functions related to parish ministries and daily operations.
  5. Oversee and coordinate parish development activities such as special events, estate planning, and donor programs.
  6. Manage the human resources needs of our parish staff, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, medical leaves, and policy implementation.
  7. Manage the parish staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

  1. Undergraduate degree in business, finance or accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Minimum of five years’ experience in accounting, finance, business operations or related field.
  3. Experience with ParishSoft preferred.
  4. Intermediate to advanced skill level in QuickBooks, Excel and Word.
  5. Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.
