JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Tool Maker/EDM Operator
Department/Area: Tooling Department
Position Summary: Candidates are required to set up and operate major machining equipment including drills, conventional mill, conventional lathe and surface grinder, OD grinder, honing machine and CNC lathe. Candidates will setup and operate wire EDM machines.Candidates are required to interpret blue prints/drawings; verify and accurately report on quality and quantity of work performed; maintain a clean and organized work area.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years experience in a tool room, EDM or general machining environment. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience machining carbide, the use of Mastercam.
Reporting Relationships: Will report to the Tooling Supervisor and/or the Plant Manager.
Working Conditions: Standing most of the time. Carry parts that usually weigh less than 20 lbs., but may be up to 40 lbs.
