The Project Architect has broad knowledge of fundamentals in specialty areas and knowledge of principles and practices in related specialties The professional in this role plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of complex projects.

  • Involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation and development of novel concepts and methods
  • Estimates fees, determine scope of work and prepares proposals and contracts on the most complex projects
  • Develops work plans to coincide milestones of a project and revisions when work plans need to be addressed
  • Serves as the primary liaison content with clients to complete projects on schedule within budget and with maximum client satisfaction
  • Interacts with a project team and client to communicate the results of analysis and describe design concepts
  • Actively manages client budgets, schedules and programs
  • Possesses broad knowledge of fundamentals in specialty areas and good knowledge of principles and practices in related specialties
  • Familiar with the company’s and client’s methods, standards, practices and procedures
  • May assist or involved in the technical scope proposal development
  • Completes field assignments, when appropriate
  • May complete sections of permits
  • Leads and mentors more junior Architects

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required, Master’s degree preferred
Registered Architect license required
LEED accreditation preferred
Minimum 8 years’ professional experience required
Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills required
Strong ability to work and lead in a team environment
Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision required
Familiar with QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to architecture
Writing, graphic, and verbal presentation skills are required, as are basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Revit and industry standard rendering software required
