Job Description:
Pay: $28-30/hr
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated High School Math Tutor to join our team to provide in-person tutoring services to a Staten Island high school starting this fall. The ideal candidate will work closely with high school students, assisting them in improving their math skills and preparing them for the Regents exams.
Compensation and Schedule:
Target launch date of October 16, 2024 running through May 2025
Schedule of 2 five-hour days each week
Pay range from $28-$30 per hour depending on prior tutoring experience
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and small-group tutoring sessions in high school math to students in grades 9-12.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to support student learning and engagement.
Collaborate with school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing a degree) in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
Previous experience in tutoring or teaching high school math.
Familiarity with the New York State Regents exams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with high school students and adapt to their individual learning needs.
