Underwriting Assistant - Farm & Ranch

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Underwriting Assistant to support our Farm & Ranch underwriting team. In this role, you will assist underwriters in evaluating and processing insurance applications for agricultural and rural properties. Your primary responsibilities will include gathering and analyzing data, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines.'
How You Will Contribute

• Review new business applications to confirm that information is appropriate to determine binding authority underwriting actions within authorities granted.
• Review all risks for new and renewal business for any securities law practice exposure.
• May recommend acceptance or declination of risks according to established guidelines.
• Files and creates reports, appeals, processes, files, correspondence, or contacts as assigned.
• Recommend methods for promotion of policies or improvements to processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful
Required:

• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• 1 - 3 years experience in a similar position
• Great attention to detail
