Description

Summary

The Associate will support the SVP, Finance & Capital Markets in raising, refinancing and optimizing corporate debt facilities and various infrastructure modeling and capital markets activities. This is a dynamic role working to support the senior leadership of a cross-functional team in a start-up environment.

Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Enhance and maintain corporate debt model that meets and adheres to debt financing covenants by using best practices such as benchmarking, process analysis and VBA programming.
  2. Run various sensitivity analysis surrounding corporate debt facility.
  3. Collaborate with different business partners to understand debt needs across all energyRE verticals.
  4. Assist with due diligence processes and perform underlying research on financing structures and incentives.
  5. Manage offshore model and required scenario analysis for long-term energy infrastructure projects.
  6. Prepare and improve all materials required for asset marketing (teasers, info-memos, factsheets) and approvals at energyRe investment committees.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Education

Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MSF/MSc in Finance preferred.

Required Experience

  1. 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy, corporate finance, investment banking, or private equity.
  2. Direct work experience in project finance industry is desirable.
  3. Prior experience of working in energy and/or infrastructure financing.

Other Skills

  1. Strong quantitative, financial analysis and modeling skills.
  2. Attention to detail, and curiosity to understand underlying inputs.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
  4. Ability to work well in groups.
  5. Proficient knowledge of Excel, Visual Basic and PowerPoint.
