Qualifications:

  • Associate degree plus 5 years or more experience in electro-mechanical assembly and integration or
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent plus 10 years or more of experience electro-mechanical assembly and integration
  • Some technical training, such as soldering, trade school, or OJT classes
  • Experience in an AS9100 or equivalent environment a plus
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Able to adjust hourly schedule to meet company needs
  • Proficient with computer programs (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for a Senior Engineering Technician to join them. You will report to the Operations Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Mountain View, CA.
As a Senior Engineering Technician , you will:
  • Provide design feedback, particularly with manufacturability and assembly.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine methods of assembly and installation.
  • Prioritize and execute manufacturing schedules in conjunction with project engineers and operations management.
  • With engineer oversite, assemble products, and record results, including generating assembly templates for recording results.
  • Using work instructions and/or drawings, assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates.
  • Install parts and hardware in housings or assemblies using hand tools
  • Using drawings, identify appropriate inspection features and inspection tools.
  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspection to confirm the acceptability of parts.
  • Create and document Non-Conformance reports for unacceptable parts.
  • Review assembly procedures and make recommendations for improvements to assembly procedures.
  • Perform clerical functions associated with manufacturing and operations, such as recording data, filing, and uploading documentation.
  • Maintain, catalog, and generate project documentation (End Item Data Packages - EIDP).
  • Review data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Use computer-based tools (such as word, Excel, TIPQA ,Gagepack) to record and upload data.
  • Assist in the organization and care of laboratory equipment.
  • Order facility and project supplies, such as cleaning solutions, shipping boxes, cleanroom items, etc.
  • Perform preventive maintenance functions on a periodic basis.
  • Perform cleanup and basic repairs of facility items.
  • Assist in the inventorying and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
  • Review internal and external customer QA requirements and ensure proper flow-down throughout the documentation of the program.
  • Present findings, data, or other project documentation to internal and external customers, typically in the form of Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
  • Coordinate with the carrier to set up the airline for flight schedules.
  • Set up the transportation schedule and the pieces and weights.
  • Completes the paperwork and material for shipments.
  • Prepare custom entries contact shipper for the other shipping companies on arrival.

Salary Range Transparency:
Sunnyvale, CA $32.00-$40.00 Hourly
