We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Payroll and Human Resources Administrator. This role will play a crucial role in supporting the team in our Chicago office, reporting to both the Director of Finance.
This is an in-person role located in our office in Chicago.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for employees in seven US offices accurately and in a timely manner in ADP.
- Analyze payroll data and generate reports as needed.
- Complete hiring and onboarding tasks for all new employees, including creating and sending contracts, I-9 verification, creating a profile and updating all personal information in payroll software (ADP) as well as marcusevans network platform (knack).
- Conduct new hire orientation and training including: ADP training, building tours.
- Maintain digital and physical files for each employee.
- Complete file audits as required by law.
- Work with the Global Director of People and Talent to update outdated policies and procedures and increase the capacity to adopt new technologies and methods.
- Monitor and regulate attendance through ADP.
- Periodic evaluation of the performance of the employees so that managers can understand their progress and minimize their shortcomings in the Chicago office.
- Enroll employees in benefit programs.
- Complete terminations, termination letters and Exit interviews.
- Complete all job verifications and state mandated documents for HR including Child support, garnishments request etc.
- Bachelor's degree in human resource administration, Management, Organizational Administration, Public Administration, Labor Relations, Business Administration or a field closely related to the position an asset.
- Proficient in payroll processing in ADP.
- One to two years of work experience performing professional-level human resources duties.
- Knowledge of payroll processes and procedures in multiple states (Illinois, New York, Connecticut, California, Florida, Michigan).
- Proficient in Excel required.
- Understand, interpret, explain and apply Human Resource policies and procedures and applicable local, state and federal legislation and regulations.
- Exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with complex and confidential human resource issues and employee situations.
- Maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Salary: $70,000 annual Salary
- 10 vacation days plus a 5-day sick annual allowance.
- Office shutdown between Christmas and New Year's Day (bonus 4-5 days off!).
- Health, dental, vision, Aflac, enrolments available after 90 days of employment or during open enrolment periods.
