Job Description SummaryAs a commodity buyer you will be responsible for the sourcing & procurement activities associated for a set of suppliers and/or parts within a commodity. You will manage the buying process for hardware with responsibility to achieve the best contractual position, as measured through a total cost of ownership model, while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction.You will collaborate with a cross functional team when negotiating with suppliers in accordance with Sourcing policies. This role is responsible for ownership of buying activity related to supplier procurements, including purchase orders, blanket orders, and limited contracts such as amendments, letters of intents, and risk releases. The role requires cross-functional partnership, process rigor and discipline to standard work within your respective supply base.
