Software Quality Assurance Engineer III
Swisslog Logistic, Inc., Warehouse & Distribution Solutions, a provider of integrated logistics solutions (Warehouse Management Systems), is looking for a dedicated and innovative person to strengthen its team in Newport News, VA.


The Software QA Engineer III position is a senior-level position with strong software testing skills for front-end and back-end solutions. The Software QA Engineer III is expected to work in an Agile team sized (5-7) on projects that run from 5-10 months in duration. A Software QA Engineer III will be able to gain a solid understanding of the domain knowledge with minimal supervision and contribute to design discussions related to testing. Expected to be a fast learner and self-motivated, the Software QA Engineer III will take on tasks with specific and limited scope and follow them through to completion. This role may also involve participation in the reviews and development of functional specification documentation needed for projects and may provide mentoring for junior SQA engineers. Occasional site visits and/or after-hours support may be required. This role is a hybrid role based out of one of our three offices - Atlanta, GA, Newport News, VA, or Mason, OH.


Responsibilities

  • Perform software testing work on applications
  • Participate in requirements gathering and system analysis
  • Review software design documentation and low-level design specifications
  • Participate in test case reviews
  • Complete assignments on-time and with quality
  • Participate in production support efforts
  • Provide technical leadership to team members

Application Requirements

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent Engineering degree if no applicable work experience.
  • Ability to provide documentation that you are eligible to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship.
  • Experience with testing Java web applications
  • Experience with Test and Integration platforms such as SonarQube and Jenkins
  • Experience with JUnit
  • Experience with source/revision control systems such as SVN and GIT
  • Automated test tools and testing frameworks such as Selenium
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases
  • Practical experience in:
    • OO Concepts & Design
    • Java architectures
    • JAVA SE
  • Eclipse development environment and Maven build automation
  • Experience with SOAP and REST web services
