Role Overview

As the Global Head of Solutions Engineering, you will lead teams across China, EMEA, APAC, and the US. These teams work with Airwallex customers throughout the pre-sales, solution design, and final implementation.

Working collaboratively with customers and internal teams, the solutions engineering team delivers product demonstrations, proposes appropriate solutions to meet the customer's goals, owns the product and technology components of RFP responses, and ensures the successful delivery of each project, which may involve sophisticated API integration, user experience design, and software development.

You will enable the team to deliver upon the needs of our customers and ultimately launch successful products to the market while ensuring we have the right processes and capabilities to support our global growth strategy.

You will become an expert on Airwallex's financial infrastructure platform and how it can drive the digital economy, helping organizations grow their business globally.

Skills and Experience:

  • You have an engineering, science, technology, product, or analytics background; at some point in your career, you will have been hands-on delivering product solutions either internally or in a consulting role

  • You enjoy working with clients to understand their needs and craft solutions that map to customer's business goals and initiatives

  • You are creative, have a problem-solving mindset, are comfortable working with customers, partners, and the Airwallex Engineering team to develop new products and solutions

  • You have exceptional communication skills, enabling you to deeply understand customer needs and navigate to successful solutions

  • You bring a bias towards outcomes and customer success, with relentless focus and creativity to achieve our objectives

  • Knowledge of the payments domain / financial services will be advantageous

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline, with strong academic achievements

  • 10+ years experience implementing or delivering software product solutions either internally or in a contracting or consulting role, 3+ years in a leadership capacity

  • Strong problem-solving mindset, comfortable working with customers, partners, and the Airwallex Engineering team to develop new products and solutions

  • Exceptional communication skills enable you to understand customer needs and navigate to successful solutions. The ability to converse at an executive level with both commercial and technology stakeholders

  • Knowledge of the payments domain / financial services will be advantageous
