As a Financial Analyst with UnitedHealthcare's Employer & Individual (E&I) team, you will work closely with business leaders to perform and manage the analyses of business and financial metrics for across the E&I business unit.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report on financials for UnitedHealthcare's E&I business segment
- Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget
- Assist in the development of program forecasts, budgets, and plans
- Work closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans, and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies
- Research economic progressions to assist with the organization's financial planning strategy
- Create annual budget templates
- Prepare spreadsheets to effectively show financial results and financial forecasts

Required Qualifications:
- Currently in final year of obtaining a bachelor's degree with a major in finance from an accredited college/university. Other degrees are considered when accompanied by experience or previous internships in finance
- Bachelor's degree completed prior to January 2025
- Able to work out of the UnitedHealth Group corporate office in Minnetonka, MN
- Coursework to obtain degree must be completed prior to start of employment. Degree must be awarded and verified within 6-8 weeks following the commencement date at your school
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, formulas, etc.)
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and leadership potential
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated presentation skills
- 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
