Education/Experience:
5+ years' experience in a manufacturing machining environment. Experience troubleshooting machining issues with various types of manual and CNC lathes & mills. Experience with high performance alloys (copper/nickel, Inconel, stainless alloys) a plus.

The employee must be able to work safely and productively on the shop floor with machinery, tools, raw materials used in the production of fittings and flanges. This will involve the proper lifting & moving of various tools and materials, including heavy items.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
- Operating & Programming for complex parts using CNC multi-axis lathes & mills (Use of G-code and/or conversational programming on Mazak and DMG Mori lathes & mills)
- Develop machine set-ups, program edits, program saving, and working with tolerances to +/- .001"
- Demonstrate forward thinking to avoid problems, and effectively trouble-shoot any problems that do arise
- Work with minimal supervision, but also engage productively within a team environment
- Read 2-D shop prints and update paperwork accurately and in an organized manner
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and various other inspection equipment
- Understand geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) required
- Select proper tooling for production and manufacturing
- Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines as required per M/M schedules
- Maintain high level of quality as identified by customer requirements
- General shop duties as needed
