The Opportunity

Unacast is seeking a Sales Director who is a driven and experienced self-starter with a proven sales track record. The successful candidate should be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and must be singularly driven by results.

What You Will Do

  • Understand the impact of location and context, and craft opportunity specific value propositions for prospective customers on your own.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to assess and qualify opportunities quickly.
  • Build and grow a pipeline of prospects, prioritizing opportunities and moving them through the sales cycle.
  • Close deals to deliver against revenue targets.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts and business updates to leadership.
  • Maintain detailed account plans and keep our CRM (Hubspot) current.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to uncover new opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales role, ideally as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) or similar role focused on software, data, or analytics products. Experience with location intelligence/ geospatial data is a plus.
  • A hunter mentality with outbound prospecting experience to identify new logos.
  • Team-oriented and customer focused, with the ability to understand customer challenges and demonstrate how Unacast’s data products can solve them.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively present and communicate a value proposition in front of large groups, including executives, and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Process driven with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, organization, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills.
  • Willingness to travel, when necessary, for client meetings, conventions, quarterly business reviews.

This a remote position that may require occasional travel. Preference for candidates who reside in the following states: CT, DC, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, MD, MI, NJ, NY, NC, PA, SC, TX, VA, WV


We offer competitive salaries and benefits and unlimited PTO. The typical base salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000. This position is also eligible to participate in a commission plan. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
