Bierman Autism Centers is seeking a VP of Finance to partner with the CFO and lead the organization through high-growth initiatives as we expand! We are seeking strong thought leaders with healthcare experience to drive decisions and navigate hyper-growth across multiple states.

The VP of Finance will be responsible for the oversight, management, and strategic direction for a wide array of financial functions including: financial statement generation, distribution and variance analysis; annual planning; financial statement forecasting & modeling; partnering with business leaders to help understand and drive results; and analysis and execution of strategic initiatives and ad-hoc decision support. The VP will ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal requirements as well as adherence to company policies and procedures. Experience with healthcare and multi-site highly preferred.

Essential Functions

  • Participate actively as one of the key leaders in the organization to help develop and execute the corporate strategy around growth and sustainability
  • Provide leadership in the finance and accounting area and across the organization
  • Manage and direct all financial requirements including preparation and release of timely, accurate financial statements and all regulatory financial reports; ensure that internal and external accounting and reporting is in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal controls
  • Direct the annual financial planning process, rolling forecasting, and long-range business planning and monthly financials
  • Analyze and monitor information pertaining to profitability and margins, cash flow, cost controls, expenses and other relevant KPIs
  • Support and enhance the company culture of collaboration, teamwork, and excellence
  • Participate in the budgeting process and take ownership throughout the budgeting process and ongoing budgetary meetings
  • Work with the Revenue Cycle Team in monitoring KPIs around cash flow and A/R

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
  • CPA designation highly preferred
  • Five or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
  • Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
  • Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
  • Expertise in lease accounting
  • Experience with planning and executing ERP implementation
  • Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
  • Exemplary history of financial project management
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent and highly accurate math and accounting skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and specialized accounting software

Basic & Physical Requirements :

  • Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions
  • Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication though computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
  • Must be able to maintain prolonged periods of working on a computer while sitting at a desk and attending virtual meetings
  • Ability to travel as needed.
