This position would be for APTIM's Solid Waste Services Division, with regional hubs in Concord, CA; Dallas, TX; Pittsburgh, PA and St. Louis, MO. We provide the following services to both the public and private sectors:Local siting and zoning,Facility design and permitting,Stormwater modeling and management plan development,Construction oversight,Operations and maintenance,Hydrogeologic and geotechnical investigations,Environmental compliance audits,Facility closure and redevelopment plans,Solid waste planning and public education, andEnvironmental site assessments and remediation.Our philosophy centers on developing and maintaining a culture of mutual respect and honesty, where people listen generously and speak straight. At APTIM, you can expect countless opportunities to learn, develop business and leadership skills, and engage on a multitude of projects.What you can expect from APTIM:Work that is worthy of your time and talentRespect and flexibility to live a full life at work and at homeDogged determination to deliver for our clients and communitiesA voice in making our company betterKey Responsibilities:Preparing site plans, grading and drainage plans, pump and piping plans, and conceptual layouts for civil earthworks, landfill grading and construction projectsPreparing engineering calculations and supporting analysesPreparing reports and specifications, Supporting facility designUnderstanding applicable regulatory requirementsPerforming detailed technical analyses of complex issuesDeveloping scopes and budgetsProviding construction oversightCollaborating with other team membersAssisting project managersAttending client meetingsProviding other duties as requiredBasic Qualifications:BS/MS Environmental or Civil Engineering4 to 8 years of experienceAbility to work on multidisciplinary project workExcellent oral & written communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentSelf-starter and problem solverExcellent organizational skillsDevelops competence in own area by performing routine workEngineer in Training (EIT) designation from the NCEESExperience in AutoCAD and Civil 3DDesired Qualifications:Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, a plusKnowledge of landfill operations and solid waste projects, a plusProfessional Engineer (PE) License, a plusWho we are and what we do:APTIM is a global industry leader headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
