A South Bay CPG company is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing outsourced accounting while still managing month-end close and maintaining the general ledger. To be successful in this role, the Accounting Manager will need to be able to work in a tight-knit team, have great communication skills, and be a great people manager. What do you need for this Accounting Manager role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7 years of accounting experience
- Advanced Excel
- Large and/or public company experience
- Experience in a SOX environment
- Inventory experience a plus
- Must have supervisory experience
- CPA or public accounting experience would be great add-on
- Oversee and mentor staff
- Own financial reporting, consolidation of data, and ensure compliance with policies and standards
- Produce financial statements and disclosures
- Coordinate with shared services and manage delivery model
- Application and compliance of accounting guidance to non-finance teams and partners
- Manage treasury, AR, AP, and cash flow management
- Balance sheet and variance analysis
- Sales and use tax tracking and reporting
- Support the annual financial statement audit
- Coordinate process improvement initiatives
