What you will do
In this vital role you will be responsible for management and delivery of direct patient care at the Occupational Health Clinic based in Thousand Oaks, CA, along with oversight of 2 additional locations. As an integrated member of the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team, the Director of Occupational Health will support EHS initiatives to enhance health, promote injury prevention, and drive wellbeing through clinical leadership. The role will be responsible for Occupational Health programming and delivering of high-quality patient care in an on-site setting. The role will perform clinical assessments, diagnosis and treatments for work-related injury and illness patients independently and in collaboration with the occupational health team.
- Oversee the delivery of occupational health services, including injury and illness prevention, health promotion, and disability management.
- Deliver advanced practice nurse practitioner care.
- Develop and implement occupational health policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
- Manage a team of occupational health professionals, providing guidance, support, and management.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including HR, EHS, and site leadership, to ensure the integration of occupational health initiatives into company operations.
- Monitor and analyze safety and health indicators, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including OSHA and workers' compensation.
- Manage the budget for occupational health services, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, human resources, and security teams.
- Compliance with ethical, legal, professional requirements, and corporate policies and procedures.

What we expect of you
The experienced professional we seek is a strong leader with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of Occupational Health Management experience
Or
Master’s degree and 8 years of Occupational Health Management experience
Or
Doctorate degree and 4 years of Occupational Health Management experience
In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have at least 4 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation of resources.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years occupational health experience.
- 3+ years experience as a nurse practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting.
- Current and valid California Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license.
- Current California furnishing license.
- Current DEA license.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
- Experience with workers compensation, case management, OSHA regulations, and maintaining OSHA records.
- Experience with audiometry and spirometry.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety principles.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to rapidly prioritize responsibilities in response to clinical need and staff population.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
