The Manager, Business Development will work closely with the Partners in managing existing client relationships, developing new clients, supporting strategic marketing initiatives, and providing interim and advisory solutions to DC area clients ranging from startups to Fortune 100 in nearly every industry, including real estate, private equity, tech, software, hospitality, fintech, media, Edtech, consulting and life sciences.

Responsibilities:
- Meet with existing and prospective clients to understand their business and recommend staffing solutions based on their needs.
- Gather business intelligence, including company background, organization, budget, timelines, potential competitors, purchasing process, etc.
- Establish rapport and develop long-term business relationships with clients.
- Collaborate with internal account managers and Partners on key strategic client accounts.
- Provide recruiting and consulting services to clients including organizational development, workforce trends, and long-term retention strategies.
- Generate new leads through marketing calls, visits, and networking; analyze prospective clients’ needs and customize ideal strategic recruitment and staffing solutions.
- Set and attend sales appointments with key decision makers who hire at current and prospective client companies.
- Identify, analyze, and close new business.
- Track activity, achieving monthly activity goals.
- Match candidates to open positions, conduct reference checks, prep, debrief, and negotiate terms.
- Maintain and update internal database with relevant information on current and potential clients.
- Support, implement and execute strategic marketing and communications plans, driving engagement and awareness of the Andrews & Cole brand.
- Develop marketing plan including planning and attending professional and networking events to increase brand awareness and generate additional leads and referrals.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA from a top tier university; MBA/CPA a plus.
- 5+ years of sales, finance, accounting or general business experience.
- Analytical mindset; able to develop creative solutions to clients' problems.
- Highly self-motivated and self-disciplined with ability to work as a team and independently.
- Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships, particularly with hiring managers, business owners, presidents and CEOs.
- A proven history of meeting/exceeding goals and objectives.
