Position Overview

The Capital Markets Senior Campus Recruitment Partner is accountable to implement a student/campus recruitment strategy. This strategy will align with BMO’s employment brand and will build upon BMO’s reputation as Employer of Choice. As part of the overall Talent Planning & Acquisition Team, this role ensures that consistent, high quality recruiting practices are used and reflect positively on BMO’s competitive position in the marketplace for top talent at the campus and student level. The role will enable the attraction of diverse talent into the organization and develop talent pipelines for BMO Capital Markets through internships. This role will also champion relations with external organizations (e.g. Universities, Career Centers, Strategic Partners etc.) through presentations, meetings, and special events in order to build deep and lasting relationships that are a key pipeline for internships for BMO CM.

In this role, you will be accountable for recruiting diverse talent for our Freshman internship program and overseeing both our Freshman and Sophomore student internship programs. You will be accountable for the recruitment of students, overall program management, structure and delivery, partnering with internal stakeholders, ensuring a best in class student experience, and active management of the students.

The Capital Markets Senior Campus Recruitment Partner is responsible for building business-centric strategies and plans, and successfully executing. The role requires in-depth knowledge and experience in recruiting practices and a commitment to identifying and executing differentiating tactics and strategies. The role requires strong relationship management and communication skills and must be able to manage projects. Due to the interdependent nature of recruiting activities across LOBs and campus, the Recruitment Partner must build strong relationships and work effectively with their peers (i.e., other Recruitment Partners, Professional Development etc.) in order to build and deliver a seamless and aligned recruitment experience across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to business.
  • Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.
  • Assists in the development of strategic plans.
  • Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
  • Designs and produces reports, dashboards and presentations.
  • Provides input into the planning and implementation of programs.
  • Develops talent acquisition solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • Provides advice and guidance to business on implementation of talent acquisition solutions.
  • Conducts industry analysis & trends to better understand market and recruiting opportunities.
  • Identifies internal and/or external emerging issues, trends and needs to inform business strategies & decisions.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to provide business context in the design, development and implementation of talent acquisition solutions.
  • Leads & influences coaching and capability building on latest recruitment techniques and tools across BMO.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
  • Supports development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyzes data and information to provide talent acquisition insights and recommendations.
  • Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Monitors and tracks performance and addresses any issues.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems.
  • Works independently.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience & demonstrated results in recruiting and sourcing - In-depth.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through education and business experience.

Compensation and Benefits

$72,500.00 - $103,500.00

The base salary represents BMO Financial Group’s hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.

Base salary is one component of BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package for employees, which may include performance-based incentives, commissions or discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
