We are in search of a Buyer to join our team in Addison, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and executing supply chain processes, planning and purchasing material components, and maintaining adequate inventory levels to meet our production and customer needs. This role requires a strategic approach to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with our objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and fulfill their material requirements
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers
  • Monitor inventory levels and perform regular stock assessments
  • Implement inventory control systems to manage stock levels and reduce excess inventory
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient inventory flow
  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Track and expedite orders to meet production schedules and deadlines
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders, including returns and replacements
  • Analyze and manage procurement costs to achieve budget targets
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to reduce procurement expenses
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on pricing trends and changes
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and inventory data
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance, including key metrics and KPIs
  • Utilize data analysis tools to drive decision-making and process improvements
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulations
  • Manage risks associated with supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and changes that may impact procurement practices


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent equivalent experience in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management
  • 3+ years purchasing experience
  • Proficiency in MS Great Plains Dynamics and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with purchasing materials and procurement
  • Proficiency in contract negotiation and pricing negotiation
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing functions in a retail or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability
  • Experience in developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures
  • Proven track record in meeting purchasing operational standards by contributing purchasing information to strategic plans and reviews
  • Ability to resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers
