Job Requirements / Description
As a Senior Investment Associate at BluePointe Capital, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the overall success of our investment program. The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong background in finance
- Deep knowledge of investment strategies
- The ability to execute portfolio rebalancing
- Experience with portfolio management software (Addepar or similar)
Responsibilities:
1. Research and Analytics:
- Assist the Director of Investment Strategy in the collection and oversight of investment data.
- Support research on various asset classes, investment opportunities and financial products.
- Contribute to investment committee discussions on asset allocation models and strategy.
2. Associate Relationship Manager:
- Assist the CEO in managing their client book; understanding their financial objectives, risk tolerance and investment preferences.
- Implement and monitor asset allocation strategy, making adjustments as necessary to optimize portfolio performance in line with allocation targets and other client goals.
- Monitor and analyze the impact of market events on portfolios, working with the Director of Investment Strategy to make proactive adjustments to ensure risk levels are within defined parameters.
- Communicate investment strategies and portfolio performance clearly and effectively to clients, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Series 65 or Series 7 license.
- At least three years of experience at a registered investment advisory firm or similar financial/brokerage background with portfolio responsibilities.
- Knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies (traditional and alternative asset classes) and portfolio management techniques.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed, data-driven investment recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client engagement.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently within an entrepreneurial environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
BluePointe offers a hybrid work environment. The preferred location for this position is California but other geographies will be considered.
