Overview

An exciting opportunity to lead our organization has become available. We are seeking candidates who will lead the overall planning and operation of the organization while providing leadership, direction, and support to the Board of Directors. You will be responsible for bringing the organization's mission to life by delivering a safe and fun space, creating an engaging Club experience, and managing caring professionals to guide them along the way. The ambition for the future of the organization is to increase the Club's positive impact in the tri-state area of Bullhead City AZ, Fort Mohave AZ, and Laughlin NV. The new CEO will be tasked with setting the vision, garnering the community's support, and harnessing the resources to achieve this.


Key Responsibilities:


Overall Organization Experience:

Oversees the organization's financial structure, ensuring adequate and sound funding for the mission and goals of the company. Reviews the financial results of all operations, comparing them with the company's objectives and taking appropriate measures to correct unsatisfactory performance and results. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards. Performs other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization.

Oversees the ongoing operations of the three Clubs and three Thrift Store locations.

Manages and directs the company toward its primary goals and objectives.

Oversees employment decisions at the company. Works with the board of directors and other executives to establish short-term objectives and long-range goals, along with related plans and policies. Presents regular reports on the status of the company's operations to the board of directors and the company.


Fundraising Strategy & Implementation:

Develops, implements, and manages comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet the organization's revenue goals. Organizes and leads fundraising events, including gala dinners, auctions, community events, and campaigns. Cultivates relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporations to secure large-scale financial contributions. Utilizes digital platforms, social media, and direct mail for donor engagement and fundraising campaigns.


Grant Writing & Management:

Works with the team to research and identify grant opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission and goals. Prepares and submits high-quality grant applications to government agencies, foundations, and other funding bodies. Oversees the management of awarded grants, ensuring compliance with funder requirements, timely reporting, and effective use of funds.


Community Partnership Development:

Builds and maintains strategic partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, educational institutions, and government entities to increase support. Serves as the primary liaison between the organization and its community partners, fostering long-term relationships. Engages with volunteers, corporate sponsors, and civic groups to enhance involvement and resource development for the organization’s programs.


Qualifications


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent managerial and financial skills and the ability to take leadership over any business operations area.
  • Superlative communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate as a leader.
  • Thorough understanding of management and financial practices in all areas and phases of business operations.

Education and Experience:

  • Education may vary; an advanced degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Extensive professional experience in leadership roles.
  • Experience with Boys & Girls Club is preferred but not required.
