Talent Vision, a dedicated Staffing and Consulting Firm, is working in partnership with a Charter School located in Trenton, NJ, to fill the position of STEM Teacher specializing in Math and Science. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in fostering a student-centered and inclusive learning environment. Your contribution is instrumental in nurturing resourcefulness, critical thinking, self-awareness, and academic growth among students. Together, we address the unique academic and emotional needs of each student, with a primary focus on STEM subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide instruction in the following subjects: Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and potentially Statistics for students in grades 6-12.
Adapt and differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students, creating a holistic learning environment.
Maintain meticulous and up-to-date records of student progress and performance.
Cultivate open and consistent communication with parents to ensure a supportive partnership in students' educational journeys.
Contribute to and benefit from the campus community by actively participating in collaborative initiatives.
Demonstrate professionalism through continuous professional development, self-reflection, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Engage in significant student mentoring in addition to subject matter tutoring.
Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
A Bachelor's Degree is a minimum requirement, with a background in higher-level Mathematics and/or Science.
Strong subject matter expertise in a majority of the following areas: Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and potentially Statistics for grades 6-12.
Teaching credentials are advantageous but not mandatory.
Experience working with students with learning differences and ADHD, along with mentoring experience, is a plus.
The ideal candidate is outgoing, well-organized, proficient in basic computer skills, and enthusiastic about contributing to a dynamic and energetic school setting.
Candidates must be prepared to teach and tutor material at middle or high school levels immediately.
