Site Logistics Roles and Responsibilities
The logistics teams provide a wide range of services that focus on providing job sites and other areas with the assistance needed to safely and quickly complete nearly any task.
Material Handler I
MH 1's do all that laborers do along with being certified to operate forklifts both industrial and all-terrain. They are required to check in all material as it arrives to site. They must make sure the material is what was ordered based on what's in POL, without any damages, make sure they are approved based upon the submittals, deliver material to requesting foreman/area. MH 1's are trained to be trainers for up-and-coming laborers, they are trained to act as crew leader role for their assigned foreman/building/area.
Material Handler II
MH 2's cover everything that at a MH 1 cover but will be more as a crew lead role. They train all of the above, they deal with vendors, they are issued an iPad to check in and receive material in POL, they walk close with the site Material Supervisor and covers anytime the supervisor is out. They are trained by the supervisor to be the next in line material supervisor to run their own project. They are trained in POL, Job Connect and all other applications that pertain to the project. They help with the management of the laydown yards and all tools and rented equipment.
