Job Overview :
We are seeking a skilled data center Technician with a strong background in structured cabling and rack mounting/unmounting devices for a 1-month contract in Chicago, IL . The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in structured cabling, and be able to showcase past work. This is a one-month contract in Chicago, IL. Extendable to up to an year. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands-on experience in structured cabling opportunity to work with a professional team on a high-profile project for a leading client.
Responsibilities :
- Install, test, and maintain structured cabling systems
- Rackmount and unmount network devices, servers, and related equipment
- Manage cable installations, terminations, and labeling
- Diagnose and resolve cabling and device installation issues effectively and efficiently
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables
- Collaborate with team members and other contractors on-site
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements :
- Minimum three years of experience in structured cabling
- Experience with rack mounting and unmounting network and server devices
- Ability to demonstrate past work experience with references or portfolios
- Knowledge of cabling standards, codes, and best practices
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to project needs
Preferred :
- Certifications in structured cabling or relevant technical training
