Responsibilities:

  • Oversee various development projects in multiple markets across the country from pursuit through completion.
  • Work closely with general contractors, engineers, consultants and local property management teams to develop and implement capital plans.
  • Oversee the permit application and entitlement process with local municipalities, working with permit expediters when applicable.
  • Coordinate with asset management on projects and lease negotiations.
  • Assist in site evaluation and formulating capital budget during due diligence of new acquisitions.
  • Assess land use / zoning / permitted uses during the acquisition process and help implement throughout the business plan.
  • Communicate effectively with internal team and various capital partners on construction progress, timelines, and budgets.
  • Continuously improve construction-related processes such as internal communication, contracts, due diligence processes, and budgeting.


 

Required Qualification & Skills:

·        5-10 years of relevant civil engineering and/or commercial construction experience.

·        Strong knowledge of entitlement processes and experience working directly with zoning, permitting and planning staff at local municipalities.

·        Exposure to construction processes, techniques and best practices.

·        Excellent project management, communication, collaboration and organizational skills.

·        Travel required (estimated 1x month).
