Terran Orbital Corporation is seeking a(n) experienced CNC Machinist (3rd Shift)  at our Santa Maria, CA location. Tyvak is a leading worldwide provider of nanosatellite and microsatellite vehicles, services, and solutions to Commercial and Government customers. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for producing varied, complex, and accurate tooling to supplied prints to satisfy internal and external customers and for ensuring the production of complex high quality metallic and non-metallic parts.
This shift will run from 11 PM to 7:30 AM.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines to create, modify and repair products through material shaping
  • Determine the path the machine takes (including cut speed and feed rate)
  • Program instructions to CNC operating machines according to the specifications
  • Use measurement tools to verify dimensions for compliance
  • Interpret and follow work orders
  • Work and perform responsibilities in compliance with safety guidelines and wearing all PPE as needed for equipment interaction
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven experience as CNC operator
  • Skill in operating HAAS CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
  • Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
  • A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
  • Good communication abilities

Salary Range  $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
