Job Requirements / Description

The Treatment Center Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Treatment Center Manager and Clinical Program Director with treatment center department activities to ensure efficient treatment center operation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Assist the Treatment Center Manager with addressing patient concerns related to treatment, finances, insurance, and billing errors/disputes. This includes answering general billing questions, making appointments, rescheduling appointments, managing and scheduling special patients in Salud, coordinating emergency patients, and sending communications to patients regarding return to treatment/missed appointments.
  2. Review and edit the treatment center schedule in Salud, ensuring to fill treatment center schedules with department cancellation and recall lists.
  3. Process both internal and external referrals, including corresponding with GSDM internal treatment centers regarding the referrals.
  4. Coordinate insurance eligibility with front desk patient coordinators and administer insurance procedures for prior authorizations.

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma required
  • 3-5 years of equivalent experience in a similar role required
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and time management skills required
  • Prior experience in healthcare in a private practice office, hospital, clinic, or dental practice is preferred
